Ha! Never!

I agree but also I find the discoverability wrt those people is lower and lower lately, and I'm on the latest tweets timeline. Maybe I should try lists, I hear that's a better experience. But lately it feels like my scrolling turns up less serendipitous joy from people I like and more outrage bait. And so much spam! Every bot in town is sliding into my DMs over there lately.

But yes -- it's the people. And I guess that's some of the anxiety about what's next. We always lose parts of the network in the transition to new spaces.

I’m catching up reading- and psss your efforts inspired me to try for a daily blog pace.

I am a bit feeling like we are giving a bit too much power of this experience to Twitter the platform, when to me at least, the twitter you miss is what came from the people who participated. I find the most valuable and meaningful connections are the same in other spaces.

I must be in the wrong twitter because I still get the unexpected resources, media, and new, interesting connections almost daily.

But I do agree what twitter enabled much better than almost anything was the possibility of expanding my networks and people of interest especially beyond the typical academic work circles. It offered much more serendipity accidental glancing exchanges that do not happen as much in The Other Spaces.

But I don’t see this potential as solely limited to Twitter the platform. I don’t want to give any platform that level of power.

Hey are you tired of me yet? ;-)
